NPDES Event Calendar & Public Notices

North Carolina General Statutes 143.215.1 and Administrative Code 15A NCAC 02H.0109 require the Division to provide public notice of permitting actions through local newspapers. The NPDES unit uses this webspace to announce publications in newspapers on a biweekly schedule.

Public comments are due 30 days from the date these notices were published in the newspapers.  Actual date of publication may vary by newspaper.  The date of notice shown below represents the date the unit requested publication.

The Division has made an attempt to post notices in the following newspaper(s): Hendersonville Times-News The Champion Hills Property Owners Association (5 Pine Shadow Drive, Hendersonville, NC, 28739) has requested renewal of NPDES permit NC0087106 for the Champion Hills WWTP in Henderson County. This permitted facility discharges treated domestic wastewater to an unnamed tributary to South Fork Big Willow Creek in the French Broad River Basin. Currently ammonia nitrogen, dissolved oxygen, fecal coliform, and total residual chlorine are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the French Broad River Basin.
