Office of General Counsel
The Office of General Counsel administers litigation, receives service of process for lawsuits and other notices, oversees rulemaking activities within the department, coordinates and advises on compliance with the State Government Ethics Act and other ethics laws, manages records retention, maintains appropriate delegations of authority and advises on various environmental, personnel and administrative issues.
It is a small office currently comprised of five people:
- Bill Lane, General Counsel
- Jennifer Everett, Policy Development Analyst & Rulemaking Coordinator
- Page Blackwelder, Administrative Assistant
